Landscape
What do we do?
The goal of the landscape committee is to update the appearance and plantings along the Boulevard. Some of the shrubs, trees, and bushes in that area are 25 to 30 years old and need to either be eliminated or updated. One of our first endeavors were the beds at the four corners by the silos. Many of the old plants have been removed or transplanted in the beds and some of the liriope were moved to the front entrance on either side of the "Cypresswood" sign. The rest of the area will be planted with flowers and will look very similar to the bed on 542. The flowers will not cost anything as we have opted to not plant flowers at the front under the oak trees which is very shaded and loved by the sandhill cranes! Eventually this area at the front will be sodded and the area around the trees mulched.
